Those of us who’ve driven along the Missouri River west of St. Louis know that Hermann is one of those quintessential German-American towns found throughout the midwest.
On March 26 and 27, 2011, the town celebrates its 32nd annual Wurstfest, celebrating the “best of the wurst” (as they like to put it). Turn up in Hermann during the fest, and you can both sample and purchase Old World delights like bratwurst, leberwurst, schwartenmagen and sommer sausage.
